What to Expect From Relationship Therapy
Build Connection. Navigate Challenges. Heal Together.
Relationships can be our greatest source of connection and also where our deepest struggles show up. Whether you're feeling stuck in recurring conflicts, drifting apart emotionally, or trying to heal after a rupture, relationship therapy offers a space to explore, repair, and reconnect.
I work with couples at all stages whether you're in crisis, in transition, or simply want to strengthen your relationship. Many of the couples I see are navigating the impacts of trauma, high stress, or recovery (from addiction or otherwise), but at the core, the work is about creating a relationship where both partners feel safe, seen, and supported.
My Approach: Present, Practical, and Direct
As a Gestalt therapist, I focus on what’s happening in the here-and-now. That means we won’t just talk about your issues—we’ll explore how they’re showing up between you in real time. With a compassionate and direct approach, I help couples uncover patterns, shift dynamics, and build practical tools to communicate more clearly and connect more deeply.
In our work together, you can expect to:
Explore the emotional patterns that keep you stuck
Practice tools for better communication and connection
Understand how past experiences (including trauma or addiction) are shaping the present
Rebuild trust and intimacy after disconnection or rupture
Support each partner’s individual needs while strengthening the relationship as a whole
Couples therapy is not about assigning blame. It’s about slowing down, becoming more aware, and learning to meet each other differently.
